Software engineer with a B.Tech (Hons) in Software Engineering from Harare Institute of Technology (Upper Second Class, 2.1). I build scalable web applications, REST APIs and enterprise systems with Java, Spring Boot, Angular, TypeScript, React, Node.js and FastAPI, with a focus on clean architecture and reliable delivery.
I have experience leading technical teams, developing platforms for businesses, and delivering full software projects from design to deployment. I also work in AI engineering and data science: LLM-powered assistants with the Anthropic API, RAG systems with pgvector, and predictive models (XGBoost, CatBoost, LightGBM) built during the GCI program at the University of Tokyo. I enjoy taking models and products from data to deployed, monitored solutions.

Led the design and development of a Service Booking System (Spring Boot, Angular, PostgreSQL, REST APIs) connecting service providers and customers across Zimbabwe. Built a company chatbot with FastAPI that is continuously optimised for response quality, developed the KFE website with Express.js, and directed technical strategy and infrastructure for all platforms.

Applied machine learning to real-world industrial datasets. Built and compared Logistic Regression, Random Forest, XGBoost, CatBoost and LightGBM models, completed the AI-Driven Telecom Customer Churn Prediction and NFL Draft Prediction projects, and evaluated models with ROC-AUC, precision, recall, F1 and cross-validation.

Developed and maintained enterprise web applications using Spring Boot and Angular, delivered customer management solutions with cross-functional teams, resolved software defects, contributed to code reviews, and worked with relational databases and SQL in agile sprints.
October 2024 – January 2025
Provided technical support, troubleshooting and system maintenance for the institution's IT infrastructure. Collaborated with four interns to design and develop an invigilator examination timetable system using Spring Boot, Java and Thymeleaf.
